We talked about it in February and now it’s bubbling up to the main stream media, so you know it’s a bona fide buzz word. FinTech. The CBS show 60 minutes did a segment on how FinTech is affecting the mainstream financial institutions last week. While FinTech is booming (a staggering $19B invested in 2015), it’s unlikely to replace banks. Think about it, many FinTech companies actually rely on existing bank accounts for their business. Mint, for example is ot taking over the world, but probably siphoning away some of your members and therefore affecting your profitability. Which of your members is most susceptible to cherry-picking? Millennials, small businesses, and the underbanked—three segments particularly sensitive to costs and to the enhanced consumer experience that digital delivery and distribution afford. It all comes back to the technology. It’s time to make the commitment (and investments) necessary to improve the member experience across the digital divide, to fend off the FinTech challenge.

New Upgrades Available: Skip-A-Pay

We’ve added three new features to our popular Skip-A-Pay product just in time for your summer skips.

Loan Qualification - Minimum Monthly Payment Amount.
Now you can disqualify a loan for a skip based on the minimum monthly payment amount on the loan. A new control is added to the ‘Loan Controls’ screen to allow you to set the limit.

Skip Overrides - By Help Desk User Groups
Users in certain users groups now have the ability to override a disqualified loan to skip, override the default Skip-A-Pay fee, and work on members who belong to restricted member classes.

Skip-A-Pay fee – Add to Loan Balance
For those who have the UD core, you can now charge the fee to a loan balance instead of generating a fee exception report to handle it manually.
