2014 Another Skip-A-Pay Success - TTCU The Credit Union

We’ve always known that our Skip-A-Pay solution was a winner on all ends, but we’ve been getting some outstanding testimonials not only about the convenience to staff and members, but the speed at which members take advantage of the program. Our latest sit down was with Cassie Mangold,Director of Consumer Lending with TTCU in Tulsa, Oklahoma. With zero advertising and only a small link on their online banking, TTCU was able to process 1,322 skips in three months creating nearly $30,000 in fee income. Take a look at some at their results. Help us name a new product

We’ve already tested it with one credit union, and are planning the launch in Q2 of a new product that lets your members apply and get approved for a loan online in seconds (think Skip-A-Pay for new loans not just skips). You can pre-approve members based on a number of different criteria and then message those pre-approved members via email or in-app messages with a link to apply. The offer is made, the member clicks apply, accepts the terms and conditions, and that’s it.

In the first live run with beta (the credit union that is also our development partner), the software sent out credit card offers to 16,000 pre-approved members. Within a couple of days of sending the email message to these members, over 200 applied for the card and were approved. We’re planning another push for consumer loans later this month.

We’ve toyed with several names for the product but thought it might be fun to see what you think.

Did your credit union make the list? - The Financial Brand compiled a ranking of the top 100 credit unions on Facebook (and other social media) based on likes, and including likes generated in 2014 and engagement rates. While one could argue that engagement rates are more important than likes, it’s pretty impressive that these credit unions could amass these kinds of numbers. Did You Know?

Increase Privilege Pay/Courtesy Pay with Alerts - If you have Cubus Alerts you can encourage more members to enroll in your Privilege Pay/Courtesy Pay program. You can utilize your Red Flag Alerts to notify members with a denied Debit Card or ATM transaction that have not enrolled or have opted out of your service that the transaction would have been honored had they been enrolled.
